National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) in a Nutshell: call +91-9399622143

Gateway to country’s best medical and dental institutes, NEET escapes students from appearing in a wide range of medical examinations, such as AIPMT and many state and university medical exams. The centralized exam is conducted by CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education). Aspiring doctors need to crack the NEET exam and grab a seat in their preferred college that accepts NEET score. Clearing the exam involves a lot of hard work, planning, strategic thinking and a lot of practice. For direct admission in BDS call +91-9399622143

Though the exam is over now and most of the test-takers breathe a sigh of relief, there’s a lot of anticipation pertaining to their performance. The candidates are inundated with expectations and there are a plenty of questions coming from relatives, family members and tutors. To hold the nerves of the exam-takers and the peers, the Central Board of Secondary Education would release the NEET answer key 2019 on its official website in the first week of June (tentative) 2019. Students should take this initiative positively and get an idea about their marks by comparing their responses against the answer key. They would be able to estimate their scores and ranks before the result announcement by the board.

The next big thing after the result announcements is counseling. The NEET counselling process will be done separately by various state counselling authorities and MCC (Medical Counselling Committee). Students who clear the exam by securing the minimum qualifying percentile will be called for the counselling. Moreover, CBSE will prepare the list for fifteen per cent All India Quota (15% AIQ) based on the merit. Only the candidates belonging to Jammu & Kashmir are exempted from this. They would be declared eligible only on the basis of self-declaration.

However, students must remember that to be eligible for 15% All India Quota they must score equal or more marks than the minimum required percentile (depending on the categories they belong). Here’s how much marks candidates from different categories should score –

Category Qualifying Percentile
General Category 50%
General-PH 45%
SC/ST/OBC 40%

Falling short of the minimum qualifying percentile would not be considered as eligible for 15% AIQ.
